Biggovernment.com the Answer to a Negligent Media
I
t appears that the unfortunate Shirley Sherrod case is a simple case of the much-maligned Tea Party fighting back, and pointing out
the ridiculous climate we currently find ourselves, which is one in which accusations of racism are unceasing,
racists are seen behind every tree, and whenever someone disagrees with a politicians position, particularly
Obama’s position on any subject, they are deemed a racist by leftist organizations given legitimacy by the
complacent media. It’s absolutely absurd. Those who hoped for progress on race relations during the Obama presidency have seen the opposite.
We should also point out that Mr. Breitbart, while we disagree with ever releasing any edited video
(for exactly this reason), has also previously offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who could
provide video evidence that any Tea Party members assaulted Congressman John Lewis, a civil
rights hero, or any other Congressman, which has been widely reported in the established media
with no basis. To date, we're not aware of any evidence or video being released affirming this accusation,
despite the plethora of cameras that were and always are present in such situations.
Lastly, we would point out that if the established media would do its job, websites like
biggovernment.com would not have millions of followers. That they have millions of followers
is a testament to the despicable state of the national media, the Baltimore Sun included.
By choosing not to report, to report minimally or to outright distort legitimate stories
like the Van Jones story (which I don’t think the Sun reported until after his resignation),
or the current story on the New Black Panther voter intimidation case, the established media has
opened the door for rogue and in many cases reckless websites to not just operate but to obtain
significant operations.
Can any mainstream newspaper editor please tell us with a straight face that if
John Ashcroft, Bush’s much-maligned AG, had dropped a voter intimidation case against a group of
robed Klansmen who were armed and threatening black voters outside a polling station, they would
not report it? Think through the answer to that question and the resulting news vacuum, and you will
understand why Biggovernment.com and Foxnews are obtaining stratospheric ratings, and why reckless,
edited video tapes are given legitimacy.
