Sun Regurgitating Opinion as FactDid anyone at the Sun actually read the Health care bill? Of course not. Few people if any in the nation have had the time to read it. So why is the Sun comfortable reiterating facts about the bill when it's obvious nobody knows what it really states? Is it because the Sun, like the Obama administration, fears what the public reaction regarding the bill will be when the details are disclosed? I don't think so. It's because the Sun is comfortable relying on left-wing news organizations to provide the "truth" on this and other issues. One need look no further than the Sun's "What we're reading" internet link to garner a good insight into how the Sun's Ed board formulates it's opinion. The list of authors is a who's who of liberal activism: Slate, The Root, Salon, Washington Post, L.A. Times, etc., etc., etc. It's a list of names that provides absolute proof as to how the Sun fell so far, so fast, in it's ability to comprehend the thoughts of the average middle-class family. I'm a free-speecher. Regurgitating left-wing pabulum is certainly within the rights of this newspaper. The only problem I have is that the radical thoughts and ideas embedded in the minds of the Ed staff are often presented as facts, when they aren't. And I have a problem with any Ed board that simply regurgitates opinions as though they are facts without actually doing the necessary research prior, particularly when they're relying on partisan radicals as their source of information.
