Public Housing In Need of Purging, Not Money

I disagree with the idea of including public housing infrastructure in the $700 billion stimulus package. Wasn’t Barak Obama's Nigerian aunt recently found to be living illegally in Boston public housing years after she was supposed to be deported from our country? Isn't it reasonable to suspect that this same infraction is occurring tens of thousands of times, or more, across the country? Before we start funneling billions of dollars into public housing infrastructure, lets spend millions of dollars on the administrative tasks required to determine who is residing illegally in the existing housing, and throw them out. Like virtually every other large program run by the government, our public housing system appears to be badly broken at the administrative level, and further funding needs to be denied until we verify the current status of the program. Even in good economic times we couldn't afford to house all of the world's poor, and these aren't good economic times.
