Palin vs. Kennedy

It's true that the office of Vice President of the United States requires more experience, and "gravitas", than the office of Senator from the state of New York. It's also true that Sarah Palin has been a mayor, and is currently Governor of a state that covers a land mass one seventh the size of the continental United States. She also has a local approval rating in the stratosphere for how she's managed her gubernatorial responsibilities. Caroline Kennedy, on the other hand, has been nothing, and done nothing and has no qualifications for any office. Sarah Palin isn't just more qualified than Caroline Kennedy to be a public official, she's eminently more qualified than Caroline Kennedy to hold any position of authority. Sarah Palin has more qualifications than Barak Obama, and Caroline Kennedy has less qualifications than Al Franklin. That's the unfortunate truth. Of course, New Yorkers don't care if their chosen senator has any qualifications or experience, because as soon as they have a major problem they'll ask the rest of the nation to bail them out, which is in vogue now for those entities that can't govern or manage themselves.
