Examiner Fails to Report Obama Pastor Story
Now that the abhorrent videos have been obtained and released, we know that Obama's pastor and spiritual advisor of 20 years hates America and feels compelled to use obscene language and gestures to get his points of hatred across to his congregation. This raises lots of questions here, and so far no answers. The Examiner must be content with Obama's explanation that in 20 years of preaching and personal spiritual advising the Senator wasn’t aware that his church pastor and campaign advisor held these inflammatory, unpatriotic and divisive views, because the Examiner has provided little supplemental coverage to the generic AP stories. Yet even a cursory look at the situation would reveal that Obama's explanation defies logic.
So why is all of this relevant? Am I suggesting guilty by association? No. It's relevant because Obama is running on a platform of good judgment and uniting America. At best, assuming that Obama is a good man who loves his country, his judgment in people appears to be horrendous. What kind of people would a President Obama put in his cabinet? Whom would he appoint to the judicial bench?
I'm disappointed that the Examiner has hence forth refused to cover this story adequately. This is a big story, blanketing the radio air waves and cable news outlets, and dominating the Sunday talk shows. I don't expect the Baltimore Sun to cover any story negative to Obama, but the Examiner prides itself on fair and accurate reporting. And while I have no doubt that the editors of other newspapers in town refuse to cover this story because on some level they agree with Rev. Wrights anti-American comments, I don’t think that’s the case with the Examiner. I don’t know what your reasoning is. I do know that your newspaper could, and should, do a lot better.
Start reporting the news. Don't try to dictate the news, as the NY Times, Baltimore Sun and other members of the elite media cartel are prone to do. Don't lead, listen. The Democrats are on the verge of nominating a man whose likelihood of imploding is increasing on a daily basis. Like it or not, that’s newsworthy.
