40 Million Uninsured? Not Hardly...

If an overhaul of the US health care system is really the way to go, then why do the proponents of an overhaul continue to promote the lie that Fifty million people in the United States have no health insurance? Anyone who’s researched the census numbers knows that the actual number is far lower when illegal aliens, those who can afford insurance but choose not to purchase it, and those who qualify but don’t enroll in existing programs are excluded from the count.

And why would anyone not question the other metrics ( costs, benefits, etc) as calculated by the Obama administration when the entire concept is being propped up by the lie that 40 or 50 million Americans lack insurance due to a flaw in the system, and when we’ve already seen Obama forced to readjust his deficit numbers as the reality of the stimulus spending has set in.

We can’t afford to offer the best medical treatment in the world to anyone who can walk, swim, crawl or fly across our border. Some Baltimore Sun responders, I fear, need to come to grips with this fact.
