Democrat's Abandon Americans with Health Care Debacle
T he Baltimore Sun editorial "Defensive medicine" was just more spin and
hype from the media arm of the
Obama Administration.
The Republican Party has offered an alternate health care reform plan for months. The fact that
the Baltimore Sun fails to acknowledge it does not mean that it doesn't exist. The fact that the
Republican plan isn't over 1900 pages and doesn’t weigh 19 pounds should be considered a good thing,
not a reason to disregard it.
In addition to that obvious oversight, I find it ridiculous that the Sun could title an
editorial "defensive medicine", without addressing the real root cause of defensive medicine,
trial lawyer abuse.
The fact that the Democrats have refused to move on tort reform, in a blatant payback to
their largest campaign contributors, the trial lawyers, it shameful.
The fact that the liberal media is giving them a pass on this issue is even more shameful.
It is the Democrats who have abandoned the public on the issue of health care reform, and
the polls show it. The Democrats are too busy paying off their union, ACORN and trial lawyer
buddies to focus on the real concerns of the American people - namely creating jobs and
driving down the cost of health care.
