Elite Left Goes After Governor Jindal
I find it sad that the Obama-adoring editorial board of the Baltimore Sun had to waste a Sunday morning taking cheap shots at the 30-something Asian-Indian governor of Louisiana who dared to refute the economic fallacies of the Democrat's pork-stuffed stimulus bill.
Why, the elite media had barely finished genuflecting before Obama when Bobby Jindal took to the stage and started blasting the messiah's plan! What insolence!
Didn't Bobby Jindal get the message that you're not supposed to be a conservative and a minority? Certainly, he must have seen how the Sun routinely excorticates Sarah Palin, Condoleezza Rice and Clarence Thomas. Why did he think he'd be different? And he's a Christian too? Just what we need, a Christian from the South with dark skin telling us that Obama's plan is going to ruin our economy for a generation. Isn't he aware that 5.4 out of every 10 Americans voted for the new president? What planet has this guy been living on? Ugh! Certainly worthy of an editorial response.
And how dare Jindal criticize Obama anyway? Isn't it the job of the NY Times and the Baltimore Sun to determine when it's ok to start scrutinizing Obama? How dare a 30-something first generation American try to do the job the print media's been doing for the last 230 years, albeit not quite so well lately?
Perhaps his family hasn't been in America long enough to know how things are supposed to work.
Evidently, Bobby Jindal hasn't heard or paid attention to the pacesetters in the media, the monolithic voice of the national press, the New York tea and crumpet crowd who determine what's news and what isn't. For God's sake he doesn't even seem to know that he's supposed to welcome handouts, not turn them away. Isn't that like Politics 101? Imagine suggesting that it's ok to object to massive bailouts and handouts, after all the Sun has done to make sure that handouts and bailouts are available for people like him! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
Thankfully we have the Sun's editorial board to knock the young man from Louisiana down a few pegs. And speaking of Louisiana, what's he doing down there anyway? Why did those rednecks elect him in the first place? Who's really calling the shots? He's probably just a conservative puppet. A fine example, this guy from Brown University. What a disgrace.
Thankfully, six brave souls on Calvert Street wasted no time quelling the notion that folks like Bobby Jindal, young and minority, might be able to make it in America, on their own, without Obama's handouts.
Please keep up the good work. I really enjoy your editorials (especially the ultra-liberal ones (although I like the extremely liberal ones and the remaining very liberal ones too). And I really appreciate that you don't tolerate diversity of thought. Things get too complicated when everyone is allowed to think and say what they want to. Maybe we need to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine. Oh wait, that's another editorial....
