Generational DivideBarely six months into the most divisive administration in history, I ask myself "how much worse can it get" ? The generational divide is tough to watch. Middle-age and senior Americans are throwing trillions of dollars of debt on their children and grandchildren so they can trade in their clunkers for new cars and take advantage of a host of other new government giveaways. Not to be outdone, the twenty-something's and thirty-something's are strongly backing Obama's socialized medicine plan, which will force Americans, primarily senior citizen Americans, to line up in front of Obama's government death panel, forced to make the case that they are worth saving, worth spending money on. What a shame. It's disheartening to see tempers so volatile, people so upset. It didn't have to be this way. Obama was elected to tweak the current system, to improve it, but not to completely overhaul the economic and health care system that has sustained our nation for over two centuries. As his socialized medicine desires crash and burn, and his poll numbers plummet to earth, I hope the young president searches within himself for a little moderation. Editor - bethesite.com
