Head of Baltimore Teachers Union Owes Students an ApologyThe president of the Baltimore Teachers Union lays claim that Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele did “nothing” for the students of Douglas High School, and hence owes the students an apology. The administrators and teachers of Baltimore city, via city and state resources, were allocated an obscene $11,000 per student to educate the children of Baltimore. That amount of funding would overjoy 99% of the school administrators on the planet, and they would likely achieve far better results, as they already are with less funding. It is the not Mr. Steele who owes an apology to the students of Douglas High. It is the lame administrators and incompetent parents who should be doing so, for relegating yet another generation of kids to a lifetime of poverty. Marietta English should be ashamed of herself for being part of such a corrupt system.
