Baltimore Sun Call for Higher Taxes Indicate A Disconnect from the Middle ClassThe Sun continues to call for more taxation of working families - this time a higher gasoline tax, to eventually be replaced by a $1300 vehicle tax (the cost of higher mpg standards being imposed by the new administration). When will it end? Continued suppression of the middle class is hardly a formula for national economic success. It hasn’t worked anywhere at any time in history, and it won’t work now. The Sun’s next editorial should be titled “We’re Out of Touch with the Middle Class”. Alternately, “We Just Don’t Get It” would work also. Because folks are sick and tired of the nanny state, sick and tired of living in the lowest ranking state in the nation in terms of personal freedoms, and sick and tired of being taxed to the hilt so that environmental extremists, corrupt politicians, criminals, illegal aliens, orchestrators of voter fraud and various other whiners with parasitic tendencies can benefit. Is higher taxes and more regulation the change that America voted for? Perhaps we’ll find out in the mid-term elections. But one thing is clear. There is no voice on the Sun’s editorial board that understands the plight of working families. Editor - bethesite.com
