The Most Closed-Minded Administration in History
E fforts by the Obama Administration and liberal advocacy groups to silence
opposition continue at a feverish pace.
The lapdog media has been absent, of course.
It's been reported this week that 38 year EPA veteran Alan Carlin issued a report to his superiors
detailing his concerns about the science behind global warming, and the effectiveness of the cap and
trade tax. Released emails indicate that his report was subsequently dismissed by the EPA, their
retort being that the Obama Administration has determined that the debate on this subject is over.
Like most Americans, we don't know if man-made global warming is a fact or a myth. We do know, however,
that during the campaign the Obama Administration accused the Bush Administration of playing politics with
science, and now the Obama Administration appears to be doing the same thing, although in a much more brazen fashion.
Another unfortunate development is the resignation of Lou Dobbs at CNN. Dobbs is one of the
few centrist or conservative newscasters who doesn't work for FOX news (at least not yet, anyway).
So CNN will be moving further to the left, even more in the direction of MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS
and 90% of the largest newspapers in the nation (including the Baltimore Sun).
And poor FOX news will be there alone on the island, reporting all of the news,
not select snippets, for the people to decide. Of course, nobody will blame Dobbs for resigning from CNN,
after all liberal advocacy groups have been hounding him for years, his home has been shot at and he
was obviously falling out of favor with the big dogs at CNN for his conservative views on immigration.
But he will be missed, yet another passing conservative ousted by the industry.
This is a scary time in America. Never have we seen such relentless efforts by partisans to
shut down open debate. The Obama administration has taken the gloves off, engaging in Chicago-style
politics designed to shut down detractors, silence debate and punish critics. The most closed-minded
administration in history, in conjunction with a lapdog media too scared to report and too broke to
avoid the carrot of the newspaper industry bailout, is a cataclysmic event for our nation.
Scary times, indeed, when one's own government poses more of a threat than radical Jihadists.
Unfortunately, efforts by this administration to stifle open debate will continue until the American people wake up
and tune in.
