ACORN Spanking Result of More than Just Bad Advice9/18/09 One Baltimore Sun responder was distressed to learn that "the U.S .Senate cut off federal funding from ACORN " because at some locations, their employees gave foolish advice to impostors who were setting them up.". Not true. The U.S. Senate cut off funding to ACORN because at some locations their employees were telling people they believed to be pimps how to hide their assets and acquire housing so they could continue abusing underage girls. The US Senate cut off funding also because scores of ACORN members have been convicted of a variety of charges related to their work with the organization, and because ACORN is under investigation in many states for voter fraud, the latest round up being just last week when eleven ACORN suspects in Miami were being hunted down for falsifying information on hundreds of voter registration cards. That's why the Senate cut off funding to ACORN, long overdue in the opinions of many people.
